Who and what our recommendations are for, and why we do it.
At UViU, your user experience is important to us.
Given the nature of our services, we want to get you tailored content, like videos, photos, and GIFs, while respecting your privacy, safety, and the laws and regulations in your jurisdiction. To do this, we’ve developed methods that give you what you want while keeping you safe and within the legal parameters of where you live. How we do our recommendations and sorting
Here’s a look at how we deliver a top-notch user experience to you.
- Time metrics. For example, to bring you Recently Featured and Trending content.
- Video popularity metrics. For example, we use likes to bring you Recently Featured and Trending content.
- Number of views for a piece of content or content creator. For example, to create a list of Most Viewed and Most Popular content and content creators. We also use this for Recommended and Shorties.
- All-time view counts for a piece of content or content creator. For example, this is used to create a list of Most Viewed, and Most Popular content. It’s also used to sort our most popular categories.
- Number of likes and dislikes on a piece of content or content creator. For example, this is used to create a list for anything Top Rated and Most Popular.
- Alphabetical sorting. For example, this is used to create a list of pornstars that are organized alphabetically, from A to Z.
- Video recording time. For example, we use this to sort the longest videos from the shortest.
- Content upload date. For example, we use this to bring you the newest content and content creators. This is also used for Shorties.
- Geolocation data. For example, this is used to show you the hottest porn videos in your country and for Recommended.
- Search bar text entries. For example, we use the text you enter into a search bar to bring you the Most Relevant content.
- Metadata. For example, this is used to bring you the Most Relevant, Recommended, and Related content through tags and categories.
- Specific time ranges. For example, we use this metric to create trending content and channels.
- Profile popularity metrics. For example, we keep track of the most visited profiles for our models, pornstars, and channels to show you the Most Popular content and content creators.
- Autocompletion. For example, we match your search text to our database, so you can see anything that’s most relevant and complies with our Terms of service and Trust & Safety policies. This is used for our Related Searches.
- Filters. For example, we look at our most widely used filters that comply with our Terms of service and Trust & Safety policies to show you Popular Filters.
- Randomization. For example, there's no logic when you choose Random to show you random content.
- Ad targeting. We use three types of data to bring you targeted ads:
- Geolocation. For example, the country you’re looking at content from.
- Technical variables. For example, your internet service provider, internet connection type, operating system, or browser.
- Content you’ve looked at before. For example, categories of content you are or have viewed or content and advertisers you have interacted with.
